Toyota Corolla: Do-it-yourself maintenance / Tires
Replace or rotate tires in accordance with maintenance schedules and treadwear.
Add washer fluid in the following situations:
A washer does not work.
The warning message appears on the multi-information display.
NOTICE
■ Do not use any fluid other than washer fluid
Do not use soapy water or engine antifreeze instead of washer fluid...
Check if the treadwear indicators are showing on the tires. Also check the tires
for uneven wear, such as excessive wear on one side of the tread.
Check the spare tire condition and pressure if not rotated...
Other information:
1 Vehicles with a continuously variable transmission: Ensure that the shift lever
is in P and depress the brake pedal. Vehicles with a manual transmission: Shift
the shift lever to N and depress the clutch pedal.
2 Touch the Toyota emblem side of the electronic key to the engine switch...
Starting the engine
1 Check that the parking brake is set. (®P.180, 181)
2 Check that the shift lever is in P (continuously variable transmission) or
N (manual transmission).
3 Firmly depress the brake pedal (continuously variable transmission) or clutch
pedal (manual transmission)...
